Easter in Vermont
Easter dawned bitterly cold here. Too cold for the sap to run. The snow still so very deep. We spent the day with friends exploring their world, looking for signs of spring. Here's what we found....
Trees tapped for sugaring
Hens starting to lay again
Easter Eggs
We spent most of the day around the table, talking and laughing. Short trips outside (it was very cold), then back inside by the stove for felting eggs and more visiting.
Those are some pretty pictures!
I sure miss having hens. What fun it is to gather eggs on Easter. :)
It's so amazing to me that it's that cold and snowy not very far away from us...and we had a sunny day with crocuses and birds singing! But spring is there, even if it's still buried under the snow.
Bitterly cold here, too, making for an odd-feeling Easter. I went and uncovered shoots in the garden just to see that they were there, then tucked them back in again so they wouldn't freeze. Really nice shots there.
I love the pictures with the lambs. That must have been so much fun to feed them like that. Even though it was cold, it sounds like a wonderful day.
Much snow here too - what a nice day, and great photos of the animals!
Wonderful day!
Happy Easter & hang in there for Spring...Xxx
Happy Easter to you all!
Wow, do you really have lambs and chickens?
Cold here in MN too. I have to sacrifice what the Oklahoman in me thinks Easter should look like and feel like!
I'm glad you found my blog, so I got to enjoy yours! I will be back and visit often. I loved your pictures of spring! :-)
We had an inch of snow which lasted one morning here in Uk but girls loved it!! Lambs, lucky you.
