Yup, it's early, but to this displaced CT Yankee who's not enjoying a muggy, nonexistent autumn in FL at all, those pics make my day. Dig out the boots and hang in there :)
Magical pictures! I love that you have the first snows appearing, and we have the last snows dissappearing.. a late spring dusting of snow probably the last of the season happened just last week in the mountains :-)
Oh my! That is quite a bit of snow! Northern Colorado already got some but we have been lucky so far down in our area. Good thing you spent that lovely Sunday in the woods with your campfire :)
Oh Gosh... we are also having strange weather here... it drops 35 degrees at night! Re Fair crafts, our school is so young it only has a Kindergarten this year so our crafts have all been for this age group. I hear you with wanting to do something really cool but with little prep. For our first year, I did these wind chimes for the kids... http://themagiconions.blogspot.com/2009/01/hand-made-christmas.html they LOVED them. We made 60 of them... all the items were found from trees around us but I did have to drill about 1000 holes! Perhaps you could get the older kids to drill the holes at school in preparation? Another one we have done that was a real hit were the terrariums (there's a link to them in my sidebar) Not much prep with these. Can't wait to see what you do... if I think of anything else that might be appropriate, I'll be sure write. Blessings and magic.
Welcome! We are a Waldorf family living in Vermont. We have two daughters--Helen is 18, Elizabeth is 15. This blog celebrates the seasons of the year and chronicles the dailyness of our lives.
uh-0h. . .Better get the snow blower up here.

LOL, we had snow a week ago yesterday. It did seem a little early, but I love it! :)
Oh my...it does seem a bit early!
i'm so jealous! we will have 95 degrees this week!
Wow! I'm not too far south of you, so those pics stand as a good reminder to fill up that woodpile and break out the sweaters this weekend!
Seriously??? Are you kidding? Is this like from last year? Wow! I can't believe it. I think I was running the AC til last week...
looks like it just dumped on us and then made it's way to you...it's hard to say goodbye to all the fall flowers, their season is short enough!
I am so not ready for snow!!!
Keep that snow away from Burlington!

Wow! It's so hot and humid here. Could you send just a little of that cold weather this way.
