A busy autumn weekend

We had a very busy 4-day weekend beginning with a school bake sale which involved lots of baking.

Visits to the local craft fairs and antique shows--a challenge to get anywhere with all the leaf peepers lining the roads.

A work party to roof our new shed...which then moved on to the neighbor's new shed.

Cider-pressing and a final Columbus Day feast with friends.

There's no need to leave Vermont on Columbus Day weekend!

A great busy weekend, I love that you had a work day for your shed roof. Next weekend everyone can come to our place; our sugar house needs a new roof and so does our roadside stand! We have a cider press and our leaves are pretty too- just a little enticement for everyone to come!

What a nice way to spend a (busy) weekend! I bet you and the girls enjoyed each and every moment. :)

Is there ever a need to leave VT?

Ah, I miss those crisp fall, apple-y, pumpkin-y days.

I didn't leave our area this weekend either. It was just lovely to sit outside all day and watch the leaves.
I hope to make bread today ...

A Columbus day feast? That's a good idea..I never thought of that. ;) Where I live, Columbus day is just a day when the banks are closed and we don't get any mail. That sounds like a great weekend.

Sounds like a wonderful day, I love this time of year!
We also had many tourists travelling our road so we stayed home and enjoyed our surroundings too!
I recognize that spot with all the leaf peepers! ; )
I have been searching Craigslist for a cider press with no such luck any other ideas where to look!?

Someday I would like to visit Vermont. It looks like such a lovely place, filled with community. And it's nice that you could get those sheds done before it gets cold.
