Icy Day

We woke up to rain and ice today. It's exactly 32 degrees which means that there is a skim of ice on everything here--down the hill it's just rain. We're stuck at home. The girls were thrilled with the news that they got to be home while their friends (who don't live in the hills) are at school!




H took to her bed for the day. She's listening to a long book on CD and enjoying some word puzzles.

E got busy making a helicopter and parachute. A careful observer might note that she still has on the clothes she was pictured in yesterday at the ski area.....ahem.














So far, it's been peaceful and I'm actually getting some work done...er...when I'm not blogging! Working at home on a snow day can be a little tricky.

These final photos are for Suse who doesn't seem to be taking the hot weather down under very well. I didn't even break a leg while taking the photos. It's really icy!
