May Fair at the end of May

Due to lots of cold weather and rain our school May Fair was delayed until yesterday. It was a gorgeous breezy afternoon as we all stood on the hill watching the 8th grade process with the May Pole. After the youngest children blessed the pole, H's class danced a Morris dance.

Then, grade by grade, the classes danced, each weaving a more complicated pattern. H played fiddle with her friend for the 4th grade.

The afternoon ended with strawberry shortcakes and a tug of war between winter and spring. It was a little iffy at first, but spring won.
